Biban Dial Mrrakch (Doors of Marrakesh)

Biban Dial Mrrakch is an experimental typographic project that was inspired by the patterns on the doors of Marrakesh houses. I took photos of over 100 doors and digitally remade the symbols in order to create a dingbat typeface.

I have also experimented with the letters and shapes by creating new ones by making ligatures. The result is a fascinating and intricate typeface that celebrates the beauty and complexity of Marrakshi culture and design.
